$49, paid once. One licence covers both connected computers, in both directions.

One licence, two computers

A licence is active on one computer at a time. Any computer you connect it to runs DirectConnect free, with every feature, in both directions. Both use the same app; there’s no separate free version.

Price

You pay once, in your own currency. Each country has a set price, and this page shows yours. It’s US$49 in the United States and lower in some countries. Checkout shows the same price before you pay.

Trial

The trial starts at your first successful connection, not at install, so finding the right cable doesn’t use it up. You get every feature for 14 days, with no credit card or account. When it ends, that computer still works with any licensed computer.

Moving a licence

With both computers connected, choose Move License to… from the ⋯ menu, and the other computer becomes the licensed one without retyping your code. For a computer that isn’t connected, choose Remove License from This Computer… on the old one first, then enter your code on the new one. Move a licence to another computer has the steps.

If you lose the computer with your licence, enter your code on the new computer and click Use It Here Instead. The old computer stops using it within 7 days if it’s online, or 30 days if offline. You can do this 3 times in 90 days; after that, contact us.

Internet

Your files never need the internet: they go straight through the cable. Entering a licence code needs the internet once, and the licensed computer renews its licence when it’s online. It keeps working offline for up to 30 days at a time.

Teams

Choose how many licences at checkout, up to 100 per order, each at the same price. You get one key per licence, all sent to the same email address. Each key activates one computer at a time.

Updates

Updates for the version you buy are included. Future major versions may be optional paid upgrades; your version keeps working if you don’t upgrade.
