Questions and answers
Do I need two licences?
No. One licence covers both connected computers, in both directions. The other computer runs DirectConnect for free.
Can I move my licence to another computer?
Yes. With both computers connected, choose Move licence from the ⋯ menu, and the other computer becomes the licensed one without retyping your code. For a computer that isn’t connected, remove the licence on the old one first, then enter your code on the new one.
What if I lose the computer with my licence?
Enter your code on the new computer and choose Use it here instead. The old computer stops using it the next time it’s online, or within 30 days if it stays offline. You can do this three times in 90 days; after that, contact us.
Can I buy licences for a team?
Yes. Choose how many at checkout, up to 100 in one order, each at the same price. You get one key per licence, all sent to the same email address, and each key activates one computer at a time.
When does the trial start?
At your first successful connection. You get every feature for 14 days without a credit card or account. One of the two computers needs to be online at that moment, once, to start it.
Does it need internet?
Not for your files: they travel directly through the cable. Entering a licence code needs an internet connection once, and the licensed computer quietly renews its licence when it’s online. It keeps working offline for up to 30 days at a time.
